Please read all of the tryout details so you will not miss any important information. The tryout out form must be filled out and printed to bring with the dancer the day of tryout. No exceptions will be made if you don’t have the form. The form is located underneath the tryout tab on this website. It will be available a month before tryouts. Payment has to be paid in full 5 days or more before tryouts which is April 27th for the last day of payment. No walk up payment, or payment accepted after the five days. We will have a tryout list for students who paid in advance. Depending on the amount of student that will tryout, we will probably have another team tryout this summer before summer camp. Please stay updated on our website. If it rains, the date will be postponed until May 10, 2025 from 8:30 AM until 2:30pm. We will update everyone by 7 PM the night before tryout if it has rain in the forecast only.

👇🏾Dancers will find out if they made the team and what level on our Instagram page 2-3 days after tryouts. The team page is our dance school name. All dancers will need plain black stretch pants or plain black shorts . All dancers will need the plain white shirt only.

👇🏾All parents must email us at SEDAschool2018@gmail.com to send us a copy of the tryout form, 5 days before the tryout. You must be paid in full when you email us. The hard copy must be filled out and turned on the first day of tryouts.

The dancer must be dedicated and is willing to work hard to be a great dancer. We aren’t looking for any dancers that will quit! All dancers will have to attend the mandatory summer camp in July for a week. The summer camp fee is $300. The summer camp fee only pays for the choreography and extensive training only. No uniforms are included in this fee. We have a parent packet that is located on our website under the parent packet tab. It specifies what students would need once they make the team. Students will be told the level of each dancer within a few days after the tryout. If your dancer made the team, it would be posted on our IG page. Our IG name is the name of our schoo.
If the dancer makes the competition team, the tuition will be a different fee in August. If the dancer makes the standard team, the price will be different as well. The fees are located underneath the tuition link. Once students make the team, you will be given the day of the summer camp and the payment deadline. Once we receive your summer camp fee, you will have access to our group chat for the team. All dancers will have to get measured on our measurement day for custom uniforms. Our measurements stay on file for 6 months only. The measurement fee is $30.
The team will order uniforms in July. All dancers will receive the uniforms within 6-8 weeks of the order date. All dancers must have everything ordered off the parent packet before August 1st. All requirements for the program is mandatory. You will know the price of the custom uniforms once your dancers get measured during May after being selected for our team. The measure fee is $30. You will print the form and bring it with your dancer. All forms are located on our website. You will get an appointment time and follow the payment instructions. We will send you the band DM message or email you once we confirm the size and price. All parents will have to fill out a summer camp form and fall form. These are mandatory forms for us to have.
Performance standard fee is $200 for the dance school year. This will be a fee for parents who dancers are in the standard program.
Competition and performance standard fee is $350 for the dance year. This will be a fee for parents who dancers have made the competition team.
Performance fees are due in full by September 1st as well as tuition each month. Parents are welcome to pay in full before September 1st for the performance fees. No exceptions will be made for the performance fees and deadlines.
First tuition payment is due August 1st.
Mandatory team fundraisers will pay for the remaining fees for performances, competitions, and team accessories, and props. Competition fees are very expensive. Parents are receiving a discounted standard and competition fees. We will do a team GoFund Me and two outside donation fundraisers. All custom uniforms must be paid in full before August 1st. Custom uniforms take 6-12 weeks to come back. The custom uniform prices are located on the parent packet on the website.
All required team items are located on the parent packet. Dancers must have everything that’s required to remain on our dance team. Students will be dismissed from the team if the required items aren’t purchase by the deadline.
Parents are welcome to have friends or family members to send your dancer performance fees. We will only except two payments for each dancer for performance fees. We prefer one full payment for the performance fee. Parents are welcome to send the Cash App link and our Zelle link to anyone who like to donate to your dancers for their performance fees. Therefore, we just would like to make sure that we will only have no more than two payments for any dancers.

We will except Zelle payments and cash app.
Make sure you put your child first and last name and what the payment is for. The Zelle payment email address is sophisticatedelitedance@gmail.com. We will except Cash App payments at $DrErica2020 from parents who don’t have Zelle as an option. Our Zelle is Sophisticatedelitedance@gmail.com. Make sure you add the same details as for the Zelle payment. Once your child has made the team, you can pay for your summer camp free. Tuition is due the 1st of each month with a $25 late fee added on the 2nd and 3rd day once the full dance season starts in August. It is a $3 a minute late fee that has to be paid within one hour of picking up your dancers late from practice.

Level 3 students are performing and competition students.
Level 1&2 students who made the competition teams are performing and competition and students.
Level 1&2 students who didn’t make the competition team are standard parade performers. They will learn the fundamentals of dance and majorette.
We offer a standard and competition program.
All new team members must download the Band app with your child‘s picture on the profile. All older students can join the Band along with one parent. Follow the instructions below in the next sections. You will be accepted in the group once the staff is available. All parents will get details on the camp dates and times. All parents will get information about uniforms and anything related to the team. We will communicate fully on the Band.
Summer Camp is $300. Summer camp is between 3-5 days and it’s mandatory to be apart of the team.

All new parents that will be apart our HBCU majorette team must follow the guidelines below if your child was selected to be apart of our dance team.
You must only download your group area.
We are asking for all new parents and students to download the “BAND” app that’s green and white with the letter B in the middle trimmed in white. All students and parents will need to upload a picture. Email us with your child information and we will contact you for a meeting for a tryout date. The ages are 5-19years old. No experience needed.
Gwinnett-Atlanta- Gaineville- Majorette-Dance Class practice is 2 Saturday’s a month.
August - May Schedule 8:45am-12pm
All students must complete and turn in the registration form in a folder the first day of practice. The registration form is located under the tab link. No exceptions.

Dr. Erica has been trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, lyrical, HBCU style and battle style Majorette, Contemporary, Modeling, and Cheerleading. She grow up dancing in all of these different genre. She has worked with a NBA dance/ cheer team doing choreography. Dr. Erica has worked with many coaches from the hit TV show Bring IT! She also is a medical doctor and has a business background. She loves working with children and adults. This will let her pass her knowledge onto her students of all ages through creativity and passion for the love of dance, and laying out a practical foundation and empowering individuals with knowledge of life skills. She has over 40 years of dance experience. She has 20 years of teaching stunt training in Majorette and Cheer. She has taught many children and teams in different states. For many years, she has worked with many schools, teams, and church dance ministries. She has also talked with many youth about life decisions. Dr. Erica has been a mentor for many children. She believes in inspiring young people to make good decisions. She had the opportunity to choreograph for many dance teams. However, Dr. Erica in the past has volunteered teaching dance classes in the Metro Atlanta area on her free time.
Miriam
As a resident of Duluth, Georgia for more than 40 years, Miriam is an active member of her community in multiple facets. Her work in property management for 30 years prepared her well for a career in Real Estate. Miriam is a sough-after Realtor, praised by her clients for her commitment and knowledge of the North Atlanta area. A talented violinist, Miriam performs in the Duluth First Baptist Orchestra, and sat on the board of the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra from 2005-2008. Miriam coached her daughter for 15 years in violin before she was accepted into the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. She is a valuable resource to parents committed to their children’s success.

Dr. Amy grow up doing dance and has a passion for young kids. Dr. Amy is also a medical doctor. Dr. Amy and Dr. Erica has traveled throughout the US hosting dance clinics for less fortunate children and adult. Dr. Amy spends her off time with family and friend.
